Here comes the sun again
Feeling exhausted over the weekend and think I had a virus slowing me down. I dragged myself out for a few rides and by the weekend I was feeling much better.
To keep my mind busy whist riding up large hills, I have been thinking about what I would like to see from the official Clojure website.
Alternative Clojure.org¶
I started working on an alternative design for the Clojure.org website. There is a lot of highly valuable information on this website, although it is not always the easiest to navigate. Information discovery is some times a challenge, limiting the Clojure adoption potential that this website should provide.
The purpose of the Alt Clojure.org website is to experiment with content, design and UX ideas for enhancing and extending the Clojure.org website.
This project is not currently sponsored by Nubank or with any collaboration from the Clojure core team (although both would be welcome).
A secondary purpose is to evaluate the capabilities of Zensical. This a fast static site generator with a rich author experience to create highly engaging websites.
NOTE: Zensical is under active development and already provides a good experience. Adoption is growing and feature parity with Material for MkDocs is expected later in 2026.
Cycling¶
Striped down the headset and reapplied greased the lower bearing to try make the steering smooth again.
A ride on Wednesday took a longer route round to Chiddingstone Cafe. I met up with a friend in South Croydon and we took a steady ride.
I was feeling tired on the ride, although did manage to push when ascending Clark's hill. I almost woke myself up 🤣
Thursday was a shorter and significantly hilly route, up both sides of Toys hill and back via Star Hill (hot and sunny).
